Alessia is an international wedding planner and the founder of Global Knots. Born and raised in Sardinia, her connection to the island is instinctive, shaped by its traditions and natural sense of hospitality.

Her story is also deeply international. After finishing high school in Cagliari, Alessia studied in Tuscany and later in Germany. She also spent time over the years in Moscow and Vienna, before returning to Germany for work. Living in different countries has shaped the way she understands people, cultures, and the importance of clear communication.

She first started her career in marketing, developing a strong sense for structure, vision, and storytelling. Later, she specialized in international relations, refining her ability to navigate cultural differences and manage expectations; skills that naturally translate into destination wedding planning.

Her introduction to weddings began in Sardinia, where she supported international couples by helping them communicate with local vendors. This experience showed her how essential trust, clarity, and attention to detail are when planning such a meaningful event. In Germany, she further developed her experience through professional event organization.

Along the way, she continued to refine her approach by taking a course in wedding planning training at the Accademia del Wedding by Cira Lombardo.

Today, through Global Knots, Alessia works with couples who value thoughtful planning, cultural sensitivity, and a personal presence throughout the journey.

Married to a Canadian, she also lives daily within a multicultural household, giving her a natural understanding of both European and North American expectations.
